The JCRSF is looking for new board members!
- The JCRSF, a Florence County SC-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to honoring the memory of Florence County Sheriff's Office Deputy Joseph C. Rodgers through awarding academic scholarships. The mission of the Foundation is to commemorate the life of Deputy Rodgers, and to keep present his spirit of hard work and commitment. This goal is accomplished by awarding an academic scholarship in the name of Deputy Rodgers to deserving individuals based upon academic excellence, as well as their commitment to volunteer work.
- We are currently seeking new board members with some of the following strengths:
- Commitment to the potential and vision of JCRSF
- Entrepreneurial spirit & passion for growing
- Experience scaling organizations
- Strong communications network
- Desire and experience growing resources & partnership
There are a number of opportunities to get involved in events and activities during the year. We are interested in growing our board of professionals who have the knowledge, talent and network to carry the JCRSF to a position of growth and stability. We encourage those that may have an interest in a future director position on our board, to also consider inquiring about future opportunities.
Responsibilities of board members include:
- Preserving and advancing the mission
- Ensuring effective financial, legal, & administrative oversight
- Developing relationships with potential partners and donors
- Implementing a fundraising strategy & raising capital
- Raising the visibility of the JCRSF
- Envisioning strategies for sustainability & growth
